No, it's not a perfect place. We work to keep it clean by picking up a small buckets of glass from old pop bottles that hide amidst the rocks on the beach. We have to call it our perfect place though, for it's the place where God has put us for now.
God has put us here in this area of S.E. Kentucky to work for Him. We are still amazed and in awe of the work that we do here, but we do desire our own place...land, our own land, and have pursued it diligently the last 8 years. It just seems to always fall through. It's a bit frustrating, but then we know that God is in control of these affairs and He knows just the right place for us.
The words of Psalms 138 are a balm. "I will praise You with my whole heart...And praise You name for Your lovingkindness and Your truth...In the day when I cried out, You answered me, and made me bold with strength in my soul...The Lord will perfect that which concerns me...."
Yes, He will perfect that which concerns us. No matter where we are in life, He is still working on us and through us. He knows our desires. He knows our heart. We can be full of Joy because we know who is in control. Because of Him, any place can be the perfect place.
