*Shiloh will be helping on the music team this summer. She works with the group from Alice Lloyd and Mr. Bowers who is in charge of the choir there also leads our music most summer weeks. We will see a lot of Shiloh and Jackson too
* Simeon and Kim are doing well as is little Luke. He is three months old now and we try to get to see them as often as possible. They live 4 hours away.
*Ethan and Stacey live about 9 hours away. They are doing well, but Stacey would love to have a full time position as dental hygienist as opposed to subbing, but is grateful to work so often. Ethan continues to work for Dr. Windows so keep him in prayer as he is on high ladders.
*Shalisha is working in Lexington and is planning a trip with the theater in August. Enclosed is her letter. We ask for prayer for her as she raises some funds this summer for the trip. We can’t do it alone. Can you help and be a part of her next step in ministry?
2 Timothy 4:8 “…There is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord…will give to me on that day, and not to me only but also to all who have loved His appearing.”
We are excited about summer camp. The volunteer summer staff arrive June 5th. Nate and Mary Beth already received CPR training for renewals last week.
The theme for the summer is “Shine”.
Matthew 5:16 “Let your light so shine before men that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
This year the petting zoo will be a new activity for Day camp and grade schools.
The horses are all doing well and we ride as much as possible to keep them accustomed to being around camp. This is a continuous part of working with horses and people. We want the best for the campers. We have 4 new horses this year.
Ephesians 5:2 “And walk in Love, as Christ also has loved us and given Himself for us…”

*We have a work group coming from a supporting church after camp. Nate and I are in charge of this group. (mostly teens)
*God answers prayer!
*Salvations! At church & Camp
God is faithful. We are doing fine, but feel tight often and trust God to supply. He does! We have lost some support from people passing away and churches cutting back. We ask for prayer in this.
We are so thankful for all of you who are a part of this ministry and who are praying…THE MOST POWERFUL THING TO DO.
We would love to hear from you.

It shall rejoice in His salvation.”
Fruits of Adventure
-Shalisha Beth Brace//Creative Arts Ministry
Its time to start raising support for my post college ministry! It has been about 4 years since my first experiences in foreign mission. If you were with me then, you know that Holy Spirit lead me to Norway and in turn to Greenland. I learned so much from that one year and now I can see on the horizon more opportunities of God working.
To catch up, I have spent the last four years as a student at the University of Kentucky. I have been serving in a number of different ways, some of which have been leading with the amazing people at the Wesley Foundation, one-on-one discipleship, and spring break mission trips to Panama City Beach and the best of all is learning how to do effective ministry in the Theatre. God has taught me incredibly more about what it means to be a Christian.
I thank God for the joy of finding new life in Jesus, the discipline while in everyday ministry could not have been done without amazing friends and teachers in ministry, without whom I would be alone and far from love. I am humbled and excited about the growth and harvest in myself, friends and family.
As a Theatre Major I am around students and professors who are open and willing to chat about faith and want to create beauty and express themselves in the Arts. They are open for the Holy Spirit to work which allows God to tangibly love on his kids. It is amazing to see Theatre majors encounter the Holy Spirit and their lives never be the same!
As I am graduating in the coming year, I have thought about my wonderful friends in the theatre department and how God will keep his promise to redeem his children. This past year I have seen God bring in freshman and from them build up Christian leaders who will take on the torch in the Theatre Department after I have left. God will not abandon his promise to free the people in the Arts. This promise has given me the freedom to scout out where the Lord wants me to be in the upcoming years and has laid opportunities in my lap to take up.
THE MISSION – SCOUTING
I have always known that God wanted me to go back into YWAM for a time to give back to the people who served and loved me so well in the name of Jesus. So, I have taken the time to look up DTS (Discipleship Training schools) around the world. In my results I have found the two Creative Arts DTS, one in Norway and the other in Scotland. It just so happens that one of my professor’s is putting together a trip to Edinburgh, Scotland, the very place this DTS is located. As I looked into this opportunity I learned that the Theatre Department trip will take place this coming August for two weeks. On this trip I will be performing with my UK Theatre and on my breaks will meet up with the Creative Arts DTS of Edinburg to see if this is the place where God will have me when I graduate in May 2016
SUMMER PREPARATION - LEXINGTON
To prepare for this scouting trip I will be working this summer in Lexington to raise money for trip expenses. I am blessed to work at an Irish Import Shop in down town Lexington. I want to pick up a few more jobs, maybe in a bakery or coffee shop so I will be able to get to know more of the community.
Financial – USD & T-SHIRTS
Concerning the financial part of the trip, God has allowed plane tickets and the American Dollar in Europe to be at a very good price and exchange rate. The Total cost of this trip will be about 3,000 USD. I will also have available T-shirts for those who are interested in partnering with me in this trip. Below I have the entire cost layout and shirt design for this next step in following Jesus.
I want to thank all of you for being Christ in my life. I can’t wait to see how God moves!! I would love to hear from each of you. Please ask Jesus to prepare, protect and provide as I walk through this summer and to give wisdom for the decision to what YWAM base I will be working in upcoming years.
If you have any questions please feel free to give me a call, I would love to hear from you!
I hope this letter finds you well!
All my love,
Shalisha Beth Brace
