We left Davidson Baptist Church Sunday and headed to Liberty University. Bags of food were pile between the front seats. Looks like we all are going to gain about 25 pounds each on this trip. :)
We borrowed Pastor's Tom Tom...Nate had to learn to trust it. :) I kept calling out the names of roads before we crossed them as they appeared on the devise. That helped boost his confidence.
We arrived at Liberty a little late. We were able to listen to the last 20 minutes of a sermon at Thomas Road Baptist Church. It was a huge place. The pastor seemed so far away. There were two huge screens on each side of the stage to help us see him better.
After that service we found the girls dorm and got the girls settled. We then went to find our hotel and then get something to eat. The problem was the Tom Tom kept trying to reroute us back to the college. It can be a very noisy devise and bothersome. Nate kept telling it no. Umm. Very strange.
Liberty University was a huge place. It's the largest Christian college in the world and has 10,000 students attending and are told that there are 50,000 online students. There were people all over the place. We took a driving tour because the campus was so large. The walking tour was just in one building. Hannah liked the college and would said she would go there in a heartbeat if it only had her major. The cost to attend Liberty is about 24,000.
At 1:00 we left Liberty to go to Piedmont in North Carolina. This college is so different from Liberty. It's very friendly, but very small. Casey likes this college and she is happy that it has elementary education as a major. It is also easier for her to get around as it is very small...about 200 students. Tomorrow we will attend some of their classes and check out their food. :) We will be eating breakfast and lunch here. The cost to attend Peidmont is about 16,000.
We are doing well and enjoying the trip. Tomorrow we head to Bob Jones University. More later...
