Fifty eight ladies attended the two hour event. It's kind of nerve wracking wondering how many will show. There are always questions in my mind about the night and anticipating it. Will the evening flow well. Will there be enough materials for everyone?
There was enough materials to do the crafts and some left over. Some of our Ladies Craft committee liked the craft so much they used the left-overs for a craft in their Sunday School Classes. It feels good to satisfy the ladies that attend and then some. There were many smiles going out the door that night.
Since that craft night, I've made a wreath to give away as a gift. They are so simple to make. I advise keeping the plastic wrapper on the peppermint candies. I tried it without, and it quickly became a sticky mess.
Cut a cardboard ring (we used mat board). The inside diameter measurement of ring was 2 1/2 inches. The outside diameter measurement of ring was 4 inches. Poke a hole in ring for hanging, and tie on your hanger. We used heavy carpet thread. Hot glue the candies into the cardboard ring. Keep the candies squished closely together.. Tie a bow from a twelve inch piece of your choice of ribbon. Hot glue it to the candies positioning it by the hanger. That's it!
I plan on making more of these little wreaths as small gifts for Christmas. Hope I've made the directions clear enough so you can make some too!
