Piedmont was small, but so friendly...and we found friends there from college days. It was a nice surprise. It's a great place to get a Bible degree.
Bob Jones was very formal, it seemed, and very business-like with lots of suits. All the girls were in dresses. We loved the museum. We were surprised at how big it was. Many of the sidewalks were covered and the landscaping was awesome.
Pensacola was beautiful. We were amazed at the cost. It's only 7,500 +/- for the year. They have lots of programs too. We saw lots of nursing students walking around in their uniforms. We also surprised our friend. She didn't know we were coming.
We also had a chance to do some sight-seeing while in Pensacola. We toured Fort Perkins and then hung around on the beach for a few hours. It was kind of an overcast day. Maybe the ocean water looks cleaner during sunny weather, but couldn't help feel that I preferred Lake Michigan waters...except for the colorful shells which were scattered all along the shore.
We started traveling back early Friday morning (about 2 am). We had to make sure we were back for the Breakaway at camp. Nate was to drive the bus to pick up youth at Walmart.
It was a good bonding time for the girls. Hopefully they will be closer as friends. Hopefully they are more aware of the different colleges and can make good choices for which college they want to attend in the near future. If your youth every get a chance to go on a college tour. We highly recommend it.
