It was raining yesterday so we put them in a warmer spot - in the back of the horse trailer. It was noisy after that for those two little lambs were running back and forth playing and making a racket. How soft and fluffy they are. Phylicia came over this week and spent some time with me feeding and playing with them. I anticipate more young people coming over to visit and helping me. It's a hands-on experience.
We also have some goats, but that's a picture for another day.
My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:
John 10:26-28 (in Context) John 10 (Whole Chapter)
Well, these sheep don't know me very well, but hopefully over the next few weeks with a lot of handling and care they will trust me.
I think of Jesus. He is my awesome Shepherd. He cares for me much more than I could ever care for any sheep. He knows all about me, and the more I learn of Him, the closer I desire to be to Him.
People who haven't put their trust in Him just don't understand the benefits, and it's sad when I see the hard stubborn faces who push Him away. They run. They high-tail it just like the nanny goat and her kid. If they only knew...Him, but that takes faith and trust.
Now, I am on my way to work with the little lambs and kids. Perhaps today will be aanother step closer to winning their trust.
