I will be seeing my mom for a day. I wish it were more...and will be staying at Nate's mom's house because of the closeness of the conference. It will be nice to visit with her too - and the Brace family.
We will be taking the horses trailer. We are picking up a horse. Not just any horse. Her name is Molly and she is a big work horse. This will be an adventure as to how she will blend into the camp work. I can say for sure that she will be an attention getter. She will stand above the rest of the horses in the pasture, yet work horses are called gentle giants because they are cold blooded. How many times will we be able to teach about obedience with her? She may also be intimidating to most campers. For many campers to overcome her size will be interesting. How much confidence will be gained through her? Also many neighborhood children drive through camp with their parents to see the horses. They will certainly notice Molly. I heard from one parent that it is a motivation to get the child ready for school. They drive by every morning.
Say a prayer for us as we travel today...and Monday. :)
James 5:16 "Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much."
