Old Fasioned Girl

I want to be an old fashioned girl,
But I'm finding it hard in this fast paced world.
I look all around and what do I see?
Don't morals and standards mean anything?
Lives that are tattered and heaped in dispair.
Hope that is gone - no true friends that care.
My mind is confused 'cause this world's in a whirl.
I'll cling tighter to the values of an old-fashioned girl.

Chorus:
Call me old fashioned, I really don't mind it.
The Bible give peace, in it's pages I find it.
Happiness,beauty, and purity too -
a pattern created for me and for you.
Don't be afraid to read in God's Word.
The words that He gives are worth being heard.
From this life I am living, I hope you can see,
The values of an old fashioned girl in me.

Where has your laughter and happiness give?
Have the pressures of life replaced your sweet song?
Are you mimicking roles that others may play?
Do what is right and do it God's way!
There's a twinkle in my eye and a smile on my face,

and a peace in my heart this world will never erase.
From this life I am living I hope you can see,
the values of an old fashioned girl in me.

Old fashioned girls are hard to be found.
Most girls that you see are wearing a frown.
They're stuck in a mold, there's confusion within.
Their heart's crying out,
"Where does contentment begin?"

have a friend that can turn them around.
The Lord Jesus Christ, the God of heaven come down.
He will enter your heart if you just ask Him to.
His old fashioned values will shine out through you.
