So here we go...the file has been sent. It's kind of fun looking forward to things and dreaming a bit. It kind of puts a spring in my step.
But I've learned I can't hold a book that I've written too tightly. Not even an e-book. It is what it is.. like a box of cookies or a microwave. I read one article that said, "you can now consider your book to be like a package of toilet paper sitting on a shelf and getting dusty, just something to sell." The article said I've got to be a marketer now. What?
That's what it said. Now I must learn to market. (big sigh) Market? Do I really have time to market with all that I do? (another big sigh) I'm certainly not going to go around and talk about it in every conversation (bla, bla, bla) - not even here. I do have a few physical copies of the book left for sale from the first small printing. They will be in the "store" part of this website.
To me, writing a book is like wearing your heart on your sleeve. My heart has been bared for all to see (read). It's been pretty intimidating, but I feel that is what God wants me to do. Create and get it out there.
Thanks for reading this little bit. Now it's time to get on with some more housework...and go down and work with the animals. I hear that rain is coming soon. Right now it's beautifully sunny, but cold and breezy - and no snow. (for my Michigan friends) :)
