It seems like christmas time here. The caving trip was beautiful! There was so much snow! Yes it snowed in October! Not just an inch - noooo like a foot! Everything was so pretty and frosted. We stayed in a cabin and then traveled by van to get near the cave entrances, unloaded, and hiked the rest of the way up.

The caves were amazing! We traveled by groups of four and five, we turned on our head lamps and crawled into the caves. Caves are so beautiful! We explored four caves. I was so dirty by the end of it and most everyone was soaked from the rivers running through. The water falls were an extra challenge which made them in my mind the best part of the cave. The waterfall areas have a tougher terrain with larger rocks to scale and steeper cliffs to descend or climb. My muscles burned and ached after each encounter; but I was gratified for I took a risk and conqured a fear. The rocks were very interesting as well, Quartz and marble decorated the walls and the ceiling would act like the night sky when your head lamp flashed over it. This was due to the water droplets forming stalagmites and stalagtites.

It is amazing how God makes the mountains and the valleys, cliffs and fields so magestic and every one can see them and glorify the Father, BUT only a few can see the glory of God from under the earth and how beautiful it is.

After a time of caving exploration, everyone traveled back to the cabin. It really felt like a family vacation over the holiday. The snow was falling and everyone was warm and content talking with one another about the crazy and fun day.
I really did love this trip I was probably the best one yet.
