The snow was falling fast and furious for most of the day Sunday.  I have to admit it was beautiful and there were times as snow fell that I had not seen such huge flakes.  A few hours later our power went out and we took a drive into town to find a kerosene heater.  We found out that everything was sold out so we went home and found blankets. We went to bed and read a book by the light of an oil lamp.

Today we spent most of the day with our friends Joe, Lia and Matthew in town.  They had power.  It was nice to visit and keep warm.  We later went home.  Nate and I sat on the couch reading with a few blankets tucked around us.  Our coats were still on. The house was cold.  I eventually fell asleep leaning on his shoulder.  He woke me up and said, "Listen."  I heard the sound of the heat pump running. "Oh, Yay!" We finally had our power back.  A few minutes later I drove to camp to feed horses.  I had to bump around in the barn because camp's power had not come on yet.  Forgot the flashlight.  When are I going to learn to always be prepared?  :)

I am learning  bit by bit.  Aren't we all in a lot of things?  Lately I've been learning how to convert mp3's to wav.  Some music places want certain formats for music.  It took awhile, but watching utube taught me how to do it. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BOfUWY2X3Lk   I got so excited learning it, I formated all my music to wav.

The exciting thing is that I put one of my original songs on cdbaby this past week.  It took awhile to make the artwork.  I had fun in paint.  I was skyping Shalisha and, using the share button, she watched me make the picture.  We made the picture together.  It was enjoyable.

I went to cdbaby and uploaded the artwork and song, "I Know a Lumberjack"  It is now available for digital download.  Hey.  At least it's "out there" instead of sitting around.  Hopefully music teachers will find it and want to use it in their classes.  The kids love to sing it.  Check it out at: http://cdbaby.com/cd/marybethbrace13
It's something new.
Now on to another project.
